it seems i can't use the goto cmd when using my current name, but once i change it i can goto wherever i want. Any idea why? It's not a huge deal just a little annoying. I usually play @ Irtdm server.

The goto command won't work if you have certain characters in your name,  ; : . $, some of those mess it up and some don't.
Security measures.

if my name is [] it wont work,  but [BTF]Reflex does.

There is also a delay when it will work for me,  after I connect.

A mssg pops up like 10 seconds after I connect  ( usage: > connect server ) and I can't goto untill it does

If you have multiple configs in different folders that have different player names, you can also see this happen.

Say your config.cfg has one name, and your autoexec or your personal config sets it to another.

When you first enter the server it quickly sets the first, then resets it to the second and somewhere in there, wallfly misses the opportunity to assign a number for you and your alias so when you put in goto commands, it doesnt even respond.

I'd would check for another .cfg in your quake2\tourney folder and make sure the name is the same in all of your configs.

There are two issues that I know of.  One is the funky characters in names are sometimes an issue. The other is that q2admin sometimes just gets confuxxored and complains that it can't find the player when wallfly stuffs the goto command.

In that situation, changing one's name to something else (and even waiting a couple seconds and changing it back to what it originally was) is enough to un-confuse q2admin.

Currently it's a fairly Rube Golcberg-ian system, and on top of that, wallfly contains several kludgey strategies to work around q2admin bugs.  I should really just replace q2admin with a new binary wrapper that contains just the few features I need--without the bugs--but I dunno if I'm likely to get around to it...
