30 minute mod: 3 Weapon Coop

Here's a quick mod that I put together, pretty fun. The way it works is that you start with either a shotgun, grenade launcher, or hyperblaster which is determined by random.

You cannot pick up any other weapons and all ammo that you pick up only adds to your current weapon.

Here's the DLL and source



UPDATE:
Here's the specific ammo totals

Shotty:
Start with 25 shells, every ammo pickup gives 5 shells

GL:
Start with 10 nades, every ammo pickup gives 3 nades

Hyper:
Start with 75 cells, every ammo pickup gives 15 cells.

That's cool - next just have one weapon that shoots random types of projectiles :)  Then it gets wacky!

Yeah I've always wanted to put together a "random" gun that somehow affects the gameplay by being random enough to be fun, but consistent enough to react to it.


The best I came up with was a firework gun that randomized between types of sparks and splashes. Some fireworks had larger explosions than others and one would fire off projectiles in a circular pattern

I did a random gun in doom 3 not long ago.  Office furniture was pretty useless.  :D

Get me a linux build & we could splatter this bad boy this weekend.  :D

The funny thing is that we had that conversation before and I just plum forgot.

The source is attached in the original post. If someone can compile it into a .so then we should definitely give it a shot! If not I'll finally try to hook my windows server back up and we can play it from there.
