yeah i agree. i mean, i been timing items myself depending on the mod used. now, the only diff is i dont have to do the math in my head in the middle of a game. not a huge diff really. and bright skins cant be argued. some peoples monitors/vid cards make it really hard to see certain skins. too me its more cheating by using a skin that is hard to than it is using one thats easy to see.  but when it comes down to it, timers really dont make a diff. at least the ones in q2a. they dont give u a description of each item. it wont tell u if its RA or YA for example. it only times armor and powerups as well. the only paks or anything i have is q2a, and bright skins. thats it. and thats only been recently, i used out of the box quake for over 7 years.

automated timers are actually evilpopes way of leveling the playing field. A lot of players have been using timers and wav timers for years so evilpope included in q2a as a way of making it availible to everyone to make an even playing field. May sound like a cheat, but guess what, half the people you play have been doing it for years and they already have an advantage on you so q2a is your way of making it fair. q2a is more than an anti cheat, its making the playing field much more fair, giving novice players access to resources and advantages that people have had for years.

well thats cuz u dont know that they are cheating. wall hacking is a really undectable cheat by the naked eye. the only way u can tell if someone is wall hacking is if they make no effort at all to hide it. Otherwise, it just looks like a good player. and even aimbotting is hard to spot if someone has the fov low enuff and uses a high sensitivity. and its almost impossible to see if they avoid using the rail. so yeah, i bet u've played with tons of cheaters but you had no idea cuz they made it look legit.

xtife, I agree with you that the cheaters shouldnt ruin it for everyone but guess what buddy, thats life. The few ruin it for the many, and thats how it will always be. so just get used to it cuz thats all u can do.
