Map has been uploaded for the vanilla server.

This map really turned out nice! Built from scratch and patterned after my favorite map Lava Tomb, I present Cornopolis - A Tribute To q2dm6! I'm really happy how it turned out. It should make a nice alternative to q2dm6. I hope everyone enjoys it!  ;)

This map is GMO corn free!

Good news! The map is pretty much done, just cleaning it up a bit as well as adding some ammo & health. I plan on uploading it probably this weekend. Here's a screen shot of the area I just finished up.  ;)

Cornopolis - A Tribute to Q2dm6 -

The map layout will be very similar to q2dm6 (Lava Tomb) with a few extra routes and shortcuts. The map is around 85% complete.

Hi everyone, due to popular demand I have designed a smaller version of my map House of Husk. I just finished uploading it and should be ready to go on the vanilla server with admin approval! Enjoy!

Thanks Quadz! I hope it's not to much of a hassle I would like to fix a few things in the map and just have you delete the old version. I will rename the new map file so there will be no issues with those who have downloaded the first version. Just a few minor issues I need to fix like the door exiting the air tunnel seems to not activate once in awhile. The acid down by the power shield should be lava & not acid. One player complained he got stuck in the invul room. An override file will not fix some of these issues. What I would like to do is keep the current version on for testing and submit the final version for both Mutant & Vanilla in a week. The map has been well received and well worth the fixes.

Thanks for hosting the map! I will make the necessary changes for the Vanilla server and resubmit the map under the file name corn1v. I think I will give it another week so it can be tested on Mutant for anymore bugs or minor changes.  :bananaw00t:

The map file name is corn1. I uploaded it to the main baseq2 maps folder so it could be used with multiple servers. I'm new to uploading, hope this is correct. The map does have stock textures so it can be played on Vanilla. Thanks.

Greetings everyone! This is my first time posting on the forums & wanted to announce the release of my first dm map "Corncob's House of Pain" which I'm hoping will be hosted on the vanilla server with approval from administration. It's a hilarious map to play especially with 32 people! I just need to add ammo & health & it will be complete. The map is patterned after my favorite map q2dm6, Lava Tomb. I really love the basic architecture in that map so I patterned mine after it. Overall the map is very original with several fun traps to play on unsuspecting victims. I did add a few custom sound effects like glass breaking, an evil laugh, & a few others which I hope wont be a problem as they are key to some of the traps. I would like to thank HiThere & Voltzow for being my guinea pigs during the process & would also like to thank those of you who gave me kind feedback & encouragement on the state of the map!  I think I started this map a few years ago but put it on the back burner several times & even started over a few times. I'm so happy I finally completed it. Now on with some screen shots! ;)
