Can you create hi-res bumpMaps for weapons, ammo and players?

Hi guys,
Quote
gettings a very shitty framerate,20-40 FPS

Which map, place, game config, driver config, texture set?
Many-many reasons for low FPS. Bers@Q2 is a highly configurable engine  ;)
Bers@Q2 is more CPU-dependent engine than Doom3 (legacy of old Q2 architecture).
So, 1.6 GHz Sempron not best CPU.
If you use hi-res textures (like your HI RES PAK), small video RAM (256 Megs) be is bottleneck too.

I'm not have the Vista  :-\
Try install not to program files folder,  check your rights (you must be administrator). And I heard - Vista have 2 types of Administrator.
Try disable any system protection for install.

I created a new feature now: attached lights to any alias model vertex.
I will use this for some monsters and weapon.
Engine update coming soon...   ;)

Bers@Q2 have a lot of render paths (quote from my booth):
Quote
Generic4: using basic OpenGL features and 4 GPU's conveyers
Generic6: using basic OpenGL features and 6 GPU's conveyers
nVidia4: using nVidia's register combiners and 4 GPU's conveyers
ATI4: using ATI's fragment shaders and 4 GPU's conveyers
ATI6: using ATI's fragment shaders and 6 GPU's conveyers
ARB4: using ARB vertex and fragment programs and 4 GPU's conveyers
ARB6: using ARB vertex and fragment programs and 6 GPU's conveyers
Simple render path for old GPUs with 2 conveyers; no lighting and shadows.
nVidia4 - is not the best render path. Use it for old GF3 or GF4.
I recomend to use ARB6 for best image quality.  ;)

You solved the problem?
If you got __quake2.pk2, bers@q2 will work.

Buzzard
For successful installation your must have a full final Quake2.
Did you specified for installer where is Q2 folder?
Do you got BaseBers\__Quake2.pk2 after installation?
Or you are not Administrator?
Your operating system is Vista?

odium, not to slander, check all arguments, not to envy, learn to talk respectfully.
Not only overdose has PPL. PPL-Engines can look identically, but differ in sources.
With Respect to Quake community.
