Quake / Anticheat.dll
« on: August 20, 2011, 12:03:44 PM »
I use AC all the time and i've had it installed forever, presently I have anticheat.dll in my folder like most players ( i even downloaded it again and overwrote it over the old file), i updated it a zillion times and it still says I'm not usig anticheat when I join tastyspleen servers (auto-kicks me from T4, on t4-noalias it lets me join but says im not using AC). And no, I havent played with my settings or files, it just happened 1 day, last night i played and now this. Makes no sense. What is the reason of this?

Ok, thanks man. I'll try later and see, I really hope this thing is the TS servers problem and not related to me.

Quake / Wtf now?
« on: June 02, 2010, 11:38:28 PM »
:WTF: For some reason, for the first time, I cannot join any TS server. It is trying to load the anticheat but then it fails. It says ERROR: Anticheat could not be loaded, either the file is missing or something is preventing it from being executed such as firewall programs or antivirus. I want to mention that I always played with anticheat.dll in q2 directory, and this is the first time happening for no apparent reason  (I want to mention as well that I did not change anything to my game or my pc, such as installing new programs, or adding/removing files from directory or such things). I even tried to turn off firewall and antivirus but still won't work (I used to play with firewall and antivirus ON forever, so I doubt that would be the problem). Oh! and yes I did update r1q2 to the latest version, so I don't know what the hell is going on. Anyone got the same issue or a possible solution to this issue?  :grrrr: :frustration:

I downloaded all the files from Tastyspleen Downloads section that I could find in the Jumpmod section. I extract all of them to Quake2/jump directory ( by the way i could not find the help readme file that you are talking about Lohmatiy :/ ) I have a screen image of all the files downloaded, I am not sure if I miss some or not. or if I have to download them somewhere else than Tastyspleen download section? ) Now if I have all my files in the right place, I am not sure what command line to use to run jump, do i use set game jump or ...?) I have an icon q2jump, i tried launching jumpmod by clicking on it but when i enter the game, it does not look like jumpmod at all, just a  regular game with a circle on my screen)...looks complicted :( Thanks for your help anyways :)

Discussion / Run JumpMod?
« on: August 30, 2008, 07:03:45 PM »
I'm fairly new to JumpMod but not to Q2. I would like to install JumpMod and play it on my own server all by myself. I downloaded the files but am not sure where to extract them and how. I know there is a file for mappack, for the jumpmod 1.0 itself, and the server client, i'm not sure if i forgot some. Now if someone could help me out by tellin me where to extract and place each of these files, and where to go or what command line to use in order to start the mod, i would appreciate much.  :help:
