PeeWee PM'd me a couple days ago about Quadz. I never met him (well, if I did at QuakeCon I don't specifically remember him) but Jehar told me about his Q2 community back in the mid 00's (I'm not even sure the first year I went to QuakeCon )
He set me up with, and helped me learn hot to, a way to compile Q2 code on his servers so I could have linux libraries for my Quake 2 server. I've used this community as an example to others of how things could be run. I've used this community to promote getting massive Q2 games going at a local LAN for several years. I've bragged about WallSpy for years (although most gamers don't seem to understand the point)
If anyone knows how, please send condolences to his family for me.
