I used to go to tourney4 and ping 10! (which was yesterday..)
NOW i ping 100 and i did everthing i could to fix it but nothing.

did you guys change anything...

Nothing should have changed.

I'd recommend a traceroute.

On windows, open a cmd.exe box, and type:

tracert east.tastyspleen.net

For a while there, my ping had jumped up a little. I was told do a trace route. I did one once, but I was unable to figure out how to copy anything from that window to a post. Can someone some post an "idiots guide to how to copy your trace route"?

Try this.

It's a simple traceroute util that's easy to read and allows you to copy the contents to the clipboard easily.

you right click the top left of the window and select mark from the window option, then you can take the cursor and select the area you want to copy, what's surrounded by drawing the cursor is automatically in the clipboard, so you don't need to click copy you just click paste

to find out which area has increased latency and packet loss, it's sometimes easier to gather with pathping or mtr. pathping seems to have a problem in that if it doesn't get a response from the first hop, saying ttl exceeded it stops going forward. anyways, here's mtr

i'm not sure if that hypertrace utility sends one packet for each hop, or tries a bunch to gather a better picture. as well ICMP to the routers themselves is generally handled differently by a different processor (given lower priority), but it seems you can generally find the increased latency so routing changes or notifications can be made

i dont think any REAL player (the ones you say are all hackers) minds playing against you on tourney4 no matter what the ping disadvantage is

Maybe between NY and NJ. I would imagine it would just go away or the route to tourney4 could be advertised out another ISP.

Telia is a Swedish IP. If you whois some of those IPs, you'll see that his route hops over to Europe for some reason.
