Anyone else watching this awesome series? so far it's been amazing, thoroughly gripped and awaiting the next episode each week.

Fringe follows the exploits of FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham, scientist Walter Bishop, and his son Peter as they investigate aspects of fringe science (telepathy, levitation, invisibility, reanimation, genetic mutation, etc). All over the world, a series of apparent experiments collectively referred to as "the Pattern" (e.g., a newborn baby who rapidly ages and dies in one day, a bus full of passengers trapped in a strange substance like mosquitoes in amber) are occurring for reasons unknown. Olivia, Peter, and Walter are in charge of investigating these strange events to determine their source. Connected to the Pattern is a company called Massive Dynamic, which is a leading global research company that holds the patents for a number of new and important technologies.

It can be a little gory at times (like when in the first episode all the passengers flesh melts off in seconds after the guy releases the thingy from his insulin pen, and the brain surgeon guy who takes parts of womens brains out while they're still awake to keep himself alive) but it really is mighty good.

I really enjoy it, but I missed the 2nd episode and this is one of those series in which missing 1 episode affects them all.

I'm hoping to catch a marathon some day to get all caught up.

But yes I agree. One of the best series in years.

It's often referred to as a more modernised and sleek x-files, and fans of x-files would definitely enjoy it. I never watched the x files so I can't say, nor 24!

Same people that write LOST,   can't wait for that to start up again...

as for missing episodes,  I think you might be able to just watch them on an official site.

We watched quite a few LOST episodes that way.

This series is just getting better and better! The most recent episode dealt with a bioweapon being engineered by a nasty bloke, and it's a virus that transforms you into a murderous.. this..



of course, it's dead following the plane crash it created by brutally slaughtering everything it crossed, inc. the pilots whilst its looking like that, on the flipside it's got all lovely gruesome spines and whatnot.

What got me thinking though, is how would - if it was possible - you deal with something like this? at the start of the episode the man who had been injected with this stuff began having a nose bleed, went to the bathroom and performed a little self test, once he had determined he was going to transform any minute he took a flight attendant to one side and hastily asked her to follow his instructions or they were all going to die, which was to collect every sedative that passengers and first aid kits had on board, and knock on the bathroom door he was going to lock himself in, if he did not answer or what they saw in there was no longer him he instructed them to keep the door shut by any means necessary and to not open it under any circumstance, however they simply ignored him and thought he was a looney (of course, why wouldn't you?), he locked himself in there and they did nothing about the sedatives (you later find out sedatives slow - but not stop - the transformation) and he bust his ass out that bathroom and splat.

so if someone at your place of work comes up to you, saying that sort of thing what would you do? me personally my first thoughts would be, he's avin a larf surely, but once you could tell he aint bullshittin i'd do what the hell was asked of me.. but then you run the risk of ridicule if it's all a trick. blagh!

Ahh....  honestly, I'm surprise an air marshal wasn't called, or the plane immediately grounded, etc.  They're pretty paranoid these days.

in my defense, a) I don't have a TV & b) your Avatar draws my attention every time I see it.
