Does this make you a Fall Out Boy? Sorry...couldn't help it...
Morrowind also has a large collection of crashing bugs that were never addressed. For example, if you switch to any weapon while still in an attack animation using your fists, the game will crash horribly and leave memory leaks.
as a an oldschool fallout fan (bought both FO1 and FO2 when I was still a wee little boy) who has played them multiple times a year since 1997 and still gets plenty of enjoyment from them, I can kinda let you guys in on why it is that the fallout fans and their communities (which I frequent) have shit all over Fallout 3. One of the biggest issues is the "sellout angle".Fallout was originally based on a GURPS role playing system that due to legal concerns was alterred to create what came to be known as SPECIAL. SPECIAL is essentially a meaningful stats system used to create any manner of character within certain parameters and allow for the player to customize their player character without the rigid class systems of most RPGs.The devs of Fallout made it very clear that in making the game and franchise they were attempting to do something different than the mainstream companies who were all making homogenous games. They made a game with mechanics based entirely on true role playing, that emulated the feel of paper and pencil RPG games, and they created a very nuanced and deep atmosphere for the game world: a dark parody of what the people of the 1950s would have seen as the world of tomorrow. When the franchise was sold to Bethesda (who made Fallout 3) it was because Interplay was folding and wanted to score some cash by selling a solid IP which they'd already marginalized by cranking out some unsuccessful spinoffs that did not stick with the revolutionary gameplay of the first 2 games, and which shit all over the established game world history of the series (canon). Before they sold the IP, they disolved the studio that was in the process of making what would be Fallout 3, a project called Van Buren. From the tech demo that is now available, fans learned that Interplay (and black isle) studio's Fallout 3 was going to be something amazing.Unlike the previous spinoff attempts it actually fit with the established canon, used the same gameplay mechanics and improved upon the GUI with the use of a 3D engine to render it's isometric interface. From leaked design docs we also learned that the story was, like the first 2, very impressive and original.Unfortunately Project Van Buren was never to be, much to the dismay of Fallout fans, and Zenimax (bethesda's mommy) liscenced the rights to make fallout 3 4 and 5 and gave them to its little darling Bethesda Softworks.Bethesda then proved to have pretty much no idea what Fallout was about, they ignored the repeated attempts by former Black Isle employees to get jobs working on the project, they ignored the fans, and they hyped the shit out of their game trying to sell it to every kid with an xbox with doctored screenshots of excessive gore and bloom. They changed the gameplay from a revolutionary pencil & paper emulating RPG with actual choices and consequences that were meaningful, to that of a hybrid shooter/rpg with max payne's bullet time strapped onto it in the form of VATS (VATS is essentially the EZ WIN button for people who suck at fps games) which has no consequences and a straight black and white morality system instead of the many shades of gray that the first games presented you with. They misunderstood the moral implications and the depth and darkness of the gameworld, and essentially rendered it childish, shallow and full of meaningless stupidity. The dark undertones are no longer there, the spectre of Atomic War destroying the world has been stomped out (you can get a fucking nuclear bomb launching catapault in FO3, which slightly irradiates you if you shoot someone 30 yards away with a nuke.. duh..) and for all intents and purposes they completely slaughtered the established canon with rewrites that a monkey could have come up with that made stupid ideological changes to every faction in the game.In short, they made a 3rd person shooter/ lite RPG game, based closely on their TES4 oblivion code, and hyped it as the best thing since sliced bread to make sure it sold enough millions of copies to the fools who believed them after the crap they pulled with the TES franchise. In the process the crapped all over one of my favorite game franchises for profit, and lied about doing so the entire time. They actually had the balls to say they were "huge fallout fans" and that's why they bought the IP, when in reality about 5 people who work there had ever even played it, and most of them couldn't describe what it was about to save their life. They bought it for name recognition and because it was one of the first successful open world games that allowed a sandbox kind of feel. (Pretty much the only kind of game Bethesda knows how to work on, by their own admission)I won't even get into how fucktarded the main story of Fallout 3 is compared to any of its predecessors, but without giving any spoilers to people who are actually playing it, it is stupid and your choices during the course of the game mean nothing, and the only meaningful choice you'll make is in the last 30 seconds.there are more reasons to despise them, like the fact that now that they've rewritten the canon idiotically we'll never get a real Fallout sequel, and how they blatantly lied about how the game wasn't just going to be oblivion with guns, and how they held a death grip on information about the game until it was too late for anyone to suggest changes that would have made it better, and how they aren't releasing a mod kit for this one so they can sell XBOX360 exclusive downloadable content like Dog Armor.I could go on all day... Don't let any of that bother you tho, if you haven't played Fallout you'll enjoy Fallout 3 even with its bugs and stupid NPC AI. (and you thought oblivion's NPCs did stupid things.. )The RTwP FPS/3PP combat looks to be pretty fun, the graphics aren't terrible and they almost managed to capture the atmosphere (if you ignore certain things).Just remember that you tread on my dreams when you give Bethesda 60 bucks.
All i can say is that a game that features screens like these is a champion in my book....if only reality imitated games...

Do you even know what the "upper class section" means?
Can you pinpoint Peru in the map? (hint: Dont use intarweb)
I've been to chicago, have you been to Peru?
