Well I don't know about that. The Torque game engine has a .ogg movie player class called "magicaltrevor" complete with misspelled and untrue comments as to how it functions. Which goes to prove that if it works, it's the right way!

No, no - that's merely an instance of, "If it works - ship it!"

Which is altogether a different thing.

Here's a classic example of something that may have worked, but is most emphatically not right.

Brutal. Sometimes I wonder how some developers were ever hired. I see stuff like that at other firms (I'm a consultant). Thankfully, my company doesn't hire simply average devs. They wouldn't cut it in consulting, anyway. Gotta love product companies

Of course, once in a while you come across the self-taught programmer (read: NOT a software engineer) who is really an idea person, desperately trying to implement their good/fresh concepts. I like those people, they make good clients.

Actually it's an instance of a weak logical connection between the quote and to something I recently found funny.
