Irishman Conor McGregor vs German kickboxer Denis Siver tonight (UFC on Fox), along with a whole host of other Irish fighters. This shit isn't remotely fair if you ask me. Denis Siver can hit hard, but he's waaaaay outclassed in McGregor. Only way Siver wins tonight is with a beautiful purely lucky shot. And if McGregor wins, UFC prez has promised him a title fight. If Siver wins, you think he's gonna get a title shot within the next 2 fights after this? Hell no. Like I said, not fair. A fight against Siver should not have been the fight to be McGregor's ticket to a title shot. Honestly, McGregor could most likely handle anyone else in the top 10 in the division, and there's others that would be a much better test of his skills than Denis Siver.

The main card for this tonight pretty fucking awesome. Benson Henderson vs Cowboy Cerrone? Fuck yeah! Also Uriah Hall and Norman Parke fighting (not against each other, that would be cool though). This shit could easily be better than any PPV they've done lately.

Main event was a god damn joke. Siver didn't even wanna touch gloves (and honestly, can you blame him? Still, kinda shitty of a veteran like him), and then McGregor responds by flipping him off, causing Fox Sports to cut the video for about 3 seconds.

And Siver curled up like a pussy shortly after the 2nd round started. Would've much rather seen someone who could've challenged McGregor better, like Chad Mendes, Frankie Edgar, or at the least Cub Swanson. Mendes or Edgar was probably too much for a televised Fox fight and would've more likely found itself as a co-main for a PPV

So next comes Jose Aldo vs Conor McGregor. So anyone saying McGregor hasn't been tested enough for a title shot,... he's damn well gonna get tested now. 5 rounds against Jose Aldo is gonna test every aspect of his game. Aldo can stand and bang better than anyone else, and can submit the fuck out of anyone on the ground. Doesn't matter where he's at, he's dangerous as shit. Can't fucking wait for this shit. I thought Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier was big. Fuck that shit. This one's gonna break whatever UFC PPV subscription record there is, guaranteed.

Conor is good, conor could be great but him and aldo arent coming close to breaking the ppv record to even come semi close they would need a huge, huge undercard behind it. the feathweights just dont appeal to the masses no matter how skillful (rightfully they are)

Nah, not gonna bet on this fight. Usually putting money out there makes a fight or game a little more exciting to watch and gives me more of a reason to cheer for one side, but nah, fuck that. This one doesn't need any help. It's gonna get so much hype and lead-up. Don't care what other people say, this one's gonna set records. Dunno if it'll come in 1st, but it has a good chance of it. Only reason Aldo's title fights haven't gotten better numbers is because of how much he always outmatches his opponents. For once he's fighting a pretty young guy in Conor McGregor with a decent reach advantage who actually knows how to use it well. Haven't really seen him display lightning fast precision striking like Aldo does, but he really hasn't HAD to use any so far. Up to this point, he's used his reach and power with great efficiency to chip away at folks before moving in for the kill. So if he's got it and just hasn't been using it, then there's that, and Aldo might be in for a very rude awakening just like Barao was against Dillashaw. Then again, maybe his tried-and-true method of chipping from a distance will still be a successful formula.

All I know is... this kid's fucking GOOD. He talks a lot of shit and can be annoying, but he's still a good fighter. Most exciting thing about this fight is that McGregor is such an unknown x-factor due to how little people know about him because he's relatively new to UFC. From all his previous UFC fights, I can tell you not a single one of them gave him any challenge at all. So it's gonna be cool to finally see him actually WORK for a win and see what he can REALLY do.

I might put $500 on Aldo(by those odds I'd win about $375 I think). I have a hunch that McGregor's going to get TKO'd. He's completely untested with this like everything else, but I just doubt he takes a hit much better than Mendes just by what he looks like. He probably won't take a hit better than frankie, but if you remember that fight I'm pretty sure that even his cardio and functionality were as close to their breaking point as they've ever been against Aldo. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong... Long story short, I think if either of these guys clock each other they'll be out of their rhythm, but if so I think it's going to be worse for McGregor, more temporary for Jose, championship rounds, experience, etc. etc.

The Rousey vs Zingano fight... wasn't. It wasn't a fight. Not at all. Not even a little. It was just Rhonda once again trying her damnedest to rip someones fucking arm completely off and the other person being lucky as hell that there was a referee there to keep her from doing it. I knew Rousey was gonna win, but MOTHERFUCKING SHIT, I thought it'd take longer than a fucking blink of my eyes for it happen. God damn!

Not gonna say how much I bet on this fight, but it was A LOT. You got a number in mind? Yeah, it was probably more than that. A "stupid" amount, that's all I'll say. And it was the eeeeeeeeasiest money I ever made. Did I tell ya? I told ya! Fuck yeah I did!

A few more fights and she'll finally and conclusively wreck EVERYONE in her division top to bottom, because there's still one or two she hasn't gotten around to yet, and they don't stand a fucking chance at all, even moreso than Zingano. WHO WILL SAVE US FROM THIS MONSTER!?!?

Looking forward to UFC 185 though. Damn good card for that one.

Pettis vs Dos Anjos? Are you shitting me? That's gonna be NUTS! Pettis is one of the guys I used to watch wreck shit in WEC, and one of the only ones who's really had good success crossing over into UFC. Faber and Benson Henderson used to be hot shit in WEC, but the talent in the roster in UFC has kinda negated their strong points and shuffled them back in the ranks. Whereas Pettis hasn't missed a beat. Dos Anjos is kinda the same style too, really aggressive, well rounded, plenty of stamina. Gonna be a good one.

Johny Hendricks vs Matt Brown? Gonna be a boom boom brawl.

And then everyone's favorite bar brawler Roy Nelson vs Alistair Overeem. Someone's head is coming completely off in that one.

Problem is most of the women just don't have the same technique that the men do. Even Rousey. They might be excellent in punching exchanges, thai clinches, grappling, throws, shit like that, but I really haven't seen any of the women with excellent footwork and movement like some of the lighter division male fighters. Rousey isn't 100% unbeatable. If someone had really good footwork, danced around her, and just chipped away at her with strikes, eventually they'd get her. But they all kinda drag feet and shuffle about, can't slip sideways quickly, can't shoot in and out for combos, have shitty head movement, etc. Same reason (like they say in the video) that Royce Gracie always dominated in the first few UFC events. The pool of fighters they had... none of them were really all that great at grappling. And they didn't have time limits. He'd latch onto them, stay there in one position on the ground until the opponent got frustrated by it and made one wrong move, then he'd lock in a choke. The shit would take 20 or 30 minutes. It was the most boring fight you ever saw in your life too. But it worked.

Robbie Lawler and Rory McDonald? Not that I saw.

Honestly, the Hendricks vs Brown fight might've been the best fight of the main card, which kinda surprised me. They really need to get stricter about deducting points for grabbing the cage though, at least in certain instances. When they're grappling on the ground up against the cage and one of them momentarily clutches in but doesn't use it to advance position or prevent the other one from advancing, a warning, sure. If they're clinched against the cage and one guy momentarily hooks fingers through the fence but doesn't advance or prevent an advancement/maneuver, a warning, sure. But when one guy is lifted completely off the fucking ground and grabbing the fence to keep the other guy from turning back to the center and slamming him... like Matt Brown did ... that shit deserves a point deduction. No excuse. Every fighter in the UFC should damn well know not to do that. And if it's just a brain-fart "accident", still, no excuses, too bad, take a point. What's the point of having that rule at all if nobody's gonna enforce it?

This Henry Cejudo dude, though... might finally be someone who can put a beating on Mighty Mouse Johnson now.
