woo! im going to my first gig ever and need some tips on how to have a good time and stay alive and need to know what to expect! its just a local band though!

Go in the pit. don't be a wimp. If you fall people will pick you up (unless they're assholes, then you're going to a shitty club) and don't do anything to warrant an assbeating.

yes. Just do what the other people do. or just stand around the edge of the pit for a while, you'll get the hang of it eventually. the trick is not to get hit in the face or windpipe or sac.

Talking of big guys! there was a program on channel 4 last night called balls of steel! theres to much funny shit to list but my fave was "big stranger rodeo", this man just hides in bushes and behind trees till the hugest men walk past, he then jumps on their back on holds on as long as possible, he got a good few smacks in the face cause this really happned in real life! i might try this at the gig! =)

wow...I barely remember the first time I went to see a show. It was something like 12 years ago and since then I'ev seen well over 250 shows. I think it's safe to say I like live shows.

I'm gonna see Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Vader and Aborted in november. It's going to be a good show.

I think my favorite show ever was Mastodon. I saw them about a month before they got real big, at this tiny ass venue with a capacity of 125, including bands and staff. They blew the fucking roof off the place.

Six feet under tomorrow! too bad all that remains is playing there too

This will actually be the third time i've seen ATM, because they always open for good bands. They do a pretty good job clearing the room.

Do you know the band called lethargy? Lethargy was the previous band of Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher from mastodon. You should check it out I like it a lot more then mastodon.

I MOSHED!!!!!! PROPER GOOD! Bands played - dunno who were metal, Embers Burnt (metal), Lucas - (emo) and Population Lost (punk) and it was so awesome. i got into the blood pit
