For those heading to QuakeCon..

Please post your trip reports, experiences, quake 2 tourney impressions, etc..

(For those that don't know, http://www.quakecon.org/ is an Id software (the company that developed quake2) organized LAN gaming party which includes tournaments, new game demos, and presentations).

I got a tour of Id's office in Mesquite TX, handshake with Todd H, etc.. when I was there on business, but never a QuakeCon.

If Strafe-jumping is in and quake4 has got proper gaming physics, Ill prolly make the transition - and not make the mistake of diving into FFA for years. I wonder how tdm will be. I'm really excited about it. I just hope it steers clear of q3's gameplay.

I do love playing q3, but my q2 rail aiming skillz suck pretty bad ! Aiming is pretty hard on the game

Wish I could go to QuakeCon (who doesn't on here anyway?)...

But I watched the 80MB+ video of Quake 4. And unfortunately the multiplayer is looking way too similar to the new Unreal Tournament games. I hope I am wrong, or else I will just avoid the multiplayer for the most part. I'm getting the Xbox360 version and not the PC version.

UT2K3/2K4 are so horrendously bad compared to Quake II, and I hope id is not going to use any of the ideas found in those games. And please don't let the maps be too small.
