You haven't met my wife. LOL, the thing is only for plates, glasses, and cutlery in her books. She gets all in a huff if I put a pot or pan in there. I teased her and put a piece of masking tape over the pots and pans button on it's control panel and it read, "Does not exist." I was on dish duty for a couple nights but it was worth it.

Pots/pans/ large glass bowls = waste of dishwasher space. I tend to do those by hand myself

I used to be against it because if they were on the bottom rack in a basic dishwasher nothing above them would get clean. If they were on the top then the jets weren't powerful enough to clean them. Dishwashers with an upper and lower nozzle assembly are perfect.

problem is they 'do the dishes' by starting the dishwasher and im forced to fill the sink with dirty dishes because they never empty the dishwasher...
