Author Topic: Rogue SP Issues (Read 6624 times)

There are some issues in the 'Rogue' (Ground Zero) campaign. They are present both in Single Player and Cooperative.
The first one is that I can't load my saved games during Single Player and Cooperative. It only says the following:

ERROR: Game Error: ReadLevel: function pointers have been moved
******************

The second one is that during Cooperative I sometimes receive the following error message and get disconnected:

ERROR: Bad modeltype
**********

Are you having the same problems too? How can they be fixed?

this is a bug in both mission packs
saved games already effected cant be fixed

however, if you play a new game with a special fixed game dll
it wont happen again

http://Http://xtyfe.tastyspleen.net has a modded one to include the missing disruptor too

I didn't have this bug in the Xatrix ('The Reckoning'), only in Rogue ('Ground Zero'). It is good that at least the ENTERING Auto-Save game can be loaded, but other than that, no...

its actually also a bug in vanilla too
but iv only seen it in the mission packs for some reason

Nice stuffs, Xtyfe. I had problems with saving in Rogue too.

And the disruptor was missed. But now its fixed.

How, how did you fix it? I got confused in X'tyfe's site. Can someone give me instructions or can someone give me a direct link?

EDIT: Thanks a lot buddy! It helped! I had to download this: Rogue Disruptor Addon + Saved Game Fix in the Maps and Misc section, right?

The saved games have been fixed. I hope it fixes the Bad Model Type error, too. The Bad Model Type error could be this missing weapon or something...

I still have a question. Will I be able to play my demos now, with the gamex86.dll file updated?

Yes, u will be able to play ur demos. "Demomap <mapname>.dm2" in the console

And ur second question. Vanilla is just a server and have nothing to do with single player.

vanilla is a term used to mean the normal out of the box game with no modifications
thats why that server is called vanilla

Thanks a lot for answering my questions!
It's good that some people play Xatrix Deathmatch so I can join them, but sometimes we can play Rogue Deathmatch, too! Since I've known the TastySpleen servers I haven't seen a person in the Rogue server. Sad.

It just randomly pops up and disconnects me from the server. Is it because of the screenshot I'm providing? The Plasma Beam is really strange, I think it shouldn't be like that, I didn't have this bug before!

If anyone can send me the files related to the Plasma Beam, I'd be very happy, I have extracted everything from the PAK file.

I posted about this same problem. Even posted the same type of pic of the plasma beam.
Can't remember if it was here though and I can't seem to find it, but I did get some answers.
I'll keep looking.
