I have 2 questions, Lohmatiy:

1.  Why are you even looking for a way to get around cheat-protected variables in the first place?  It's not something that even occurs to the vast majority of Q2 players no matter what the mod.

2.  If you were just 'testing' the script then why give it to Mesnik, Goblin and santher before coming clean with the server admins?  Goblin, I believe, is already banned from wp for cheating and Mesnik has had a lot of his times removed from the server as he has obviously been using it.

Console: Forcing anticheat is a good measure but will it stop the use of this alias?  Lohmatiy has bragged upon a number of occasions that it can't be protected against.

this is getting a bit out of hand, as long as lohmatiy doesn't use the script and he's even helped the server out by showing quadz exploits and he quit his admin due to bullshit from what he told me I believe.

 All I see here is alot of drama which has remained here even through my near to 2 year absence. Just jump or make a server named "no jump just bitch" and take refuge there to argue and whatever else you must do.

I'm obviously not taking sides because I know you both and I have no problem what-so-ever with any of you so I hope you guys can solve your differences and get back on track, but please don't spam the jump server because it's rather annoying to be honest.

How is forcing ac going to stop someone from using an alias....

When you try to set timescale while connected to a server in r1q2, it says "timescale is cheat protected".

My intention was that by forcing anticheat, the user would in effect be required to use a client in which the alias did not work.

However... Unfortunately, even though r1q2 says "timescale is cheat protected" the alias still does work in r1q2 at the moment.    So I'm writing to r1ch to see what he thinks about updating r1q2 to truly prevent the alias from working.

But - in the meantime, no, unfortunately forcing AC will not solve the problem like I thought it would.

r1ch suggests using "sv_enforcetime 10" ... to auto kick players speeding around with a timescale alias.

I tried it out on the jump server and used the alias, and it nailed me right away for "irregular movement."

However... Please keep in mind it's possible someone who is having a really bad lag spike, might also get kicked for irregular movement. So we will be testing this mechanism and seeing how it goes.  If someone gets kicked, please don't assume they were necessarily trying to cheat... It's possible they were just badly lagged.

We'll see how it goes!

I play on jump aliased frequently. This assists me with sorting out bogus complaints from valid ones. I know how ALL of you act on the servers, including loh. I have even seen certain cases where loh has made mistakes while using his admin powers. However, it has never been enough for me to consult quadz about, only very miniscule errors while dealing with certain people. Pretending like you're little angels that never break the rules while voicing complaints gets you nowhere when it's not true.

Whizard, kingsize-- when you do this it insults the people receiving the complaints. When I hear your bullshit I think to myself... 'do these guys really think we're that stupid..I mean honestly?' I have no respect for people who claim to never break the rules when they do very frequently, and I don't respect their complaints either. Right now, your cries are totally in vein. When you persist and continue to cry expecting different results--this is when you know that you are an idiot with the mentality of a toddler.

Armor, what quadz is trying to say is that you cannot compare an aimbot with what loh was doing. Loh didn't 'make' anything, he simply knew it was within the realm of possibility, tried it and it worked. It's been there the whole time, an aimbot isn't like that. As quadz said loh has been finding exploits and helping the jump server for quite some time now (being way more useful than me). There are obvious reasons for why he's trusted.

I quitted my admin pretty long time ago (like 2 or 3 weeks? can't remember) because of their constant whines arguements. I thought they wouldn't argue if I'm not an admin, but they do, whatever.
