Mute reverse possible?

So, i met this guy while back, been playen with him, seems nice and calm, and has a hell of a rail shot...so i get to talken, ask him bout bein in a clan, he says not in one, i'm like ur too good to not be in one, he laughs and starts tellen me bout prior clans years ago he was in, he's an older gentalman, probably 40 or more, i actually picture the guy in his 50's lol, but anyhow, Clan KEA frequents the Tasty Servers, this is our home, our friends...but this guy, went by the name RailGuard on tastyspleen servers, i met him using the name Bunker...said he has been muted for a long time over at the TS servers, turns out an admin didnt like his binds, said nothing bad but annoying i guess, and muted him, he never got it back, i'm here asking what it would take to remove the mute, we'd love to have this guy join KEA but he has said he'd love to, but we'd need this reversed as KEA plays scrimmages, dm, railz, and team insta on the TS servers, i as a captain of KeA would be happy to step up and make sure this guy acts like a clansman, and not like a jackass, if there are any problems i'd ask that ts contact me and he'd be removed from kea~ what will it take to get this done, please dont ask for my soul as i've allready sold it  lol

On 2 recent occasions I have gone in to un-mute RG and found him evading the mute, and IMO doesn't deserve a chance ATM

I do recall RG used to spam alot before he was muted. Not sure if that's why he was muted, or if the content of his comments was what caused it tho..unfortunately, I don't remember much of what he was saying, as he has been muted for a while now from what I have noticed.

Also.. he wore a tag.. [DIG].. at the time too.

Last time I saw him on the server, he discovered that he could disconnect, create a bind, and then reconnect using binds to talk to everyone.

I searched back in the logs for a reminder of why he was muted.  It looks like he was just really spammy with his binds, but the binds themselves weren't too terrible:

So the problem was he would just spam and spam and spam that stuff incessantly.


Well.. I was gonna say fine, let's unmute him and see how he does, but...

Was he evading the mute to spam?  Or just to try to talk?

I personally appreciate people like him being muted but am not against giving him as many chances as the admins can put up with.

 He is one of the best campers I have ever seen but probably hardly plays if he can't spam his binds --which I also appreciate. ;-P

he wont be spamming so much nonsence and negativity if he is KeA i can guarentee that, if there are any issues he's booted right back off ts and outta kea, thats wht i'm suggesting

oh give me a break, trying to keep quake2 alive is one thing, starving for talent is another, kea wins some and loses some, were not there to win, were there to play, make friends, support other clans, and enjoy the game! i talked to the guy, he's a good guy, bad rep. we're gonna change that, given the chance to prove himself i dont see a problem wit having him in KEA.

My little experience with KEA folks was quite pleasant....just for the record.  I could never understand spammers. Do you just crave attention that badly? Play the game and have fun WITH others.       

I agree. [EoM] has had a few scrimms with a few of them recently. I have no complaints for them. A good bunch of well-mannered guys that are always fun to play with. No trash talking or bad attitudes or anything like that, good sports all around. I'd rather play a clan like {KEA} and lose, than to play a clan who's members are shit-disturbing trash talking assholes and win. It's a game, and games are supposed to be fun and entertaining. I get no enjoyment or entertainment from that kind of behavior. If they say they believe he's changed his ways and that they'll keep a muzzle on him, I'd cast a vote to unmute the guy until he proved that he hadn't changed his ways.
