Just a note...

Yesterday when I first logged into a few servers, like I said, my ping was 20ms higher. Later in the day, it mysteriously went back down to about 40 where it normally was (actually it was typically 37-39). Then in the evening, it went back up to the 60's again. When my ping was back to normal during that time, everyone else seemed to be having a change still. Not sure what that means. Maybe this info could be helpful in some way, I dunno, thought I'd mention it just in case.

Just got done checking my ping at a few servers this morning. Kinda weird. At VANILLA and DM I am pinging 60-70. When I logged in to RAILZ I was at 60, then when I logged in again I was at 40, then when I tried again, I was back at 60. Seems to be switching routes or something.

global refresh does not pick up tastyspleen servers as it once did. that is what I am talking about. as to how to add them? no idea.

Quadz, to get your servers visible through Gamespy, put the "setmaster masterserver.exhale.de:27900" into your server.cfg's.

As far as i know, Andre, the owner of this master server has applied it at/to Gamespy.  So he told me some time ago.

After some time your servers should appear then at Gamespy.

Sad to hear the routing will change again...

Because my ping is now better than before  - using my default ISP and even better when I use an alternative call by call DSL provider.

So personally, I welcome the new IP and routing.

Hi, Yes congrats on the migration and the forum seems alot faster BUT I have to say that since the IP change my ping has increased atleast 20ms to 30ms, Like on the DM  server I used to ping 59, 60, Now its around 90ms.... this sucks I thought the ping was going to stay the same...

Yeh, I've seen a big increase in ping...I'm LAGGING ALOT!! I cant even play...thx alot console.......   Well I guess it's back to q3...

To manually add a server to Gamespy's list press "Insert"

A little window will pop up and you can enter the Game, IP, Port, add to Favorites. I went through the Tastyspleen Server List and entered in the servers I'd usually join

I've contacted Andre today, sorry, but my information, that his masterserver applies server addresses to Gamespy master automatically, is wrong.

Andre wrote, the only way to get all Tastyspleen servers visible in Gamespy in one go, is opening Gamespy3d, right klick on 'Quake2',
then klick on 'Add master server list". Now a little window pops up, here you put in under 'Name:' 'team exhale', under 'Internet Address:'
'masterserver.exhale.de' and under 'Port:' '27900'.
Then in the main menu right-klick again on 'Quake2', then on 'update' and all Tastyspleen servers should be in the list.

I've just tested it, works for me.

Edit: The whole works only with Gamespy3d, in Gamespy Arcade there is no possibility to add a masterserver manually!
