i was wondering if it would be alright to grab hold of the mutant server and q2admin configs
id like to use them as a base for a server im setting up

quadz has also tweaked q2admin for use on tastyspleen
id also like to make use of this too. since its alot better than the stock settings

I don't use any q2admin related customizations, as far as I know.

Most of the customizations in mutant either come from mymap (which is a remote admin script that runs over rcon) or from the simple mod code I added for things like "tune_spawn_..." to set respawn shield times or remap entities on the map.

It's all open source, but as far as binaries, I only have it compiled for linux.  (The game mod code could be compiled on windows however.)

you wouldn't happen to know why when I put "set sv_anticheat_required 1" in my config it always resets to 0, would you?  I'm using the latest r1q2 dedicated linux  server.

This happened once to all our servers a week or so ago, but r1ch indicated it was a one-time glitch.

Normally our servers stay set to "1". 

Sorry, no other ideas...

Ohh. Yeah, I forgot about that.  I hacked the q2admin source code to turn off some of its bogus checks.

That source code is available via anonymous CVS download:
