Some good beers were had this weekend. Tried out 2 dogfish heads, 90 minute IPA (9%) which blows 60 minute out the water, and Palo Santo Marron (12%), a goddamn beast of a beer with an intense wood-aged flavor, both damn good. Also finally tried Racer 5 IPA, I now see what the hype is about, it's not particularly strong @ 7%, but the flavor is very very nice on this one. Lots of taste bud confusion.

Another one I got was Squatters Double IPA, a 9%er classified as 75 IBUs. This one is definitely good if you haven't had it before! Has more of a bitter bite than 90 minute, even though 90 minute is rated 90 IBUs. It's the hoppiness of it, just so fucking much hops. I like it, it hits you like a freight train after just a couple, drink 3-4 and you'll be right where you need to be.

Oh yeah, also picked up some cheap stuff as a pre-weekend starter, some stuff called Killian's Irish Red, a basic red Irish lager. Not bad for what it is, clocks in @ 4.9% and low IBU (25-ish maybe?), has a particularly dry finish and isn't horrible like most cheaper beers from Walmart are, actually tastes pretty good. Worth a try if you want something lower-powered to fill in the gaps between the beast beers.

Another night of drinks, got a 30 pack of rolling rock (not bad actually) and some vodka. Pretty buzzed as of now, I'm sure that will evolve in the next hour.

Drinking more Pabst Blue Ribbon tonight. I think the new house brew is gonna be PBR, even got my evil Budweiser loyalist roommate hooked on it and saying it's better than Bud. Stuffs pretty decent in bottles, probably not much different in cans, although I haven't tried it in the cans recently yet. Been getting some killer deals on 12pk bottles from the liquor store man, so not much reason to go with cans.

Also swilling on some homemade grape wine. I think the yeast I used to make this stuff was a little old, it didn't seem to fizz quite as much as I'm used to hearing when I'm initially fermenting a batch. Think this stuffs been fermenting about 3 or 4 weeks, but still turned out pretty nice even with yeast that wasn't as effective as it normally is. A little sweeter than usual, so I guess all the sugar didn't ferment completely, but it still seems to have the same alcohol content it always does. Pretty nice, tastes a little sweeter than usual, and all the same alcoholic punch as the more bitter stuff I usually turn out.

Drinking Stone IPA atm and got some more Squatters Double IPA Hop Raisin' in the fridge. Stone is good, Squatters is absurd in the hoppiness so try if you're a hops freak. Also tried a new one this time, Ballast Point IPA Sculpin, a little expensive ($15/6 pack) but when you drink it you see where your money went. The flavors on this are great.

got messy as fuck last night, I thought it'd be clever to polish off a full bottle of vodka on my jack jones mixed with powerade in a litre bottle before we went out ya know just casual like that. nearly fell out of the taxi ahaha, then I was on a pint of jaegerbomb straight away and it was all down(up)hill from there, memory is a bit foggy tbh I remember getting started on by a chick for falling into her dancing, getting irate with my girl, ditching her and going barhopping for a bit before finding her again, seeing all my colleagues drunk was hilarious, but yes I got reaaaaaallllllllllly drunk, I haven't been that drunk in a LONG time. Apparently I danced like a bellend ALL NIGHT and I don't even remember dancing, they nicknamed me uncle knobhead

but arr, was a goodun. Skegness next weekend for similar messy shenanigans!

Well, figure i'll update this weekend on last weekend.

Skegness is the dogs bollocks. Was on it two nights in a row, two nasty hangovers, both cured with sausage sandwiches and pure willpower. Had an absoloute blast, highlights include a flying elbow drop onto what I thought was a soft bed but in actual fact was really fucking hard and bruised my bum. An IRL bladestorm over a speedbump that had me bruise my elbow and knees after a terrific tumble, walking through the drive thru twice to get additional big macs at 5am, trying to out drink and Irish girl (LOL NO.) Was really fucking fun, but now I am broke, like for the first time in my life im £10 in debt, and I don't get paid till the 26th. FUCK.

So i'm sitting in this weekend with coffee without my girlfriend, shoddy weekend bros - have one for me!
