Agreed. I don't know what it is about wine, but it seems to dehydrate the body a lot more than beer or liquor. Every time I made a jug or two of it and drank nothing but that all night long, I'd get up the next morning feeling shittier than usual and thirstier than I've ever been in my life.

I've finally decided to sober up and quit the 24/7 drinking. I didn't feel like going through some kind of inpatient or outpatient detox/rehab, so I asked a friend of mine who went through it not too long ago for some help. He recommended using valium and neurontin to get through the DT's. Sleep's been a bitch, can't get more than a couple hours in at a time. Had a few auditory hallucinations, hearing shit that wasn't really there, but that could also be from lack of sleep, I dunno. Last drink was Saturday, and it seems like I'm starting to get to where I can stay asleep longer even though I toss and turn a lot. I toss and turn in the bed so much that now when I finally get to sleep, it's in such a fucked up awkward position that I wake up with my upper back in 14 different kinda excruciatingly painful knots. God damn, I feel like I'm 60 fucking years old now, this shit sucks.

IPA - Old Empire

India Pale Ale - A true IPA with a strong hop aroma and flavour, a rich malty bitter taste and pale in colour. 5.7%.

Smells great, tastes very nice - stronger than the flavour of newcastle and that is quite strong in its 'flavour' itself, not unpleasant though by any means. It's expensive mind, £1.97 for a 500ml bottle. Newcastle is about the same, it's just expensive as fuck here

new ale test today;

Fullers London Pride premium ale - 4.7%

pretty nice, tasted real good and decently priced (£1.60 as opposed to nearly £2 for most ales at supermarket)

London Pride has a smooth distinctive malty base, with a rich balance of well developed hop flavours from the target, challenger and northdown varieties in the brew. An astonishingly complex beer for its strength.

also... I've been through an insane exam week. Tonight after I e-mail 2 papers(one is 22 pages long... /quit life) then I will be back to at least being a half-way competent tourney/nadl admin... Sorry for slacking this past week.

i'd like to also point out that 90 minute IPA(9%) is delicious. I emptied the closest store that sells them and they have been out all damn week. But, I've been drinking a baltimore IPA called heavy seas - loose cannon(7.2%)... it has a pretty damn good taste.
