i see no point of sending someone to jail if they hit someone while driving drunk.
first, you don't even know if they would have hit them anyway, and secondly it's not exactly intentional.
a person used to be considered property, just because you can consider a dog property means it's okay to electrecute it, this is ok?

I don't see how it is worse to kill something that can feel pain, than it is to kill something that can't, because either way you're taking a life that wasn't yours to take and "pain" is relatively meaningless in the face of death.
To a human, the life of another human is as important as their own life, it's just the way we're programmed.
Well, *if* they do the horrible things you describe, then they aren't really humans.
