Grappling hook. Hmmm?

I like the hook, personally.  My crouch button is my hook button on diff servers.
Would it be difficult to put the occasional hook on maybe the mutant server?
Would be great on vanilla+gravity lottery, that I would enjoy

Who likes hook?

i dont use it much.  i think that people that do use it alot tend to have weak foot skills.  Like in WOD.

i personally think that as long as you have the BFG and chaingun with full ammo, you're good for go. dont need no hook then

i used to like the hook on OSP rails when i made the server on the zone... id set it really fast, change my name to 5p1d3rm4n and be as hard to hit as possible without touching the ground... didnt kill much, but it was a boatload of fun hookin' around the arena on edge with 5 people trying to shoot me

i have played some people that were very skilled with the lazer hook.  Get them in an open area like q2dm1 arena area and they can be next to impossible to hit.  Add thier hook skill with some incredible aim on thier part and it can be brutal.   i remember some 30 to 4 scored games(with me pinging 15).  Those four kills sure meant alot though!

Hook monkeys make good challenging targets for my rail. I don't use it myself.

trust me man, it sucks and its fuckin slow. i like the matchmod/lithium type of hooks.

Offhand hook is boss.  CTF hook is a bit poo but still not cheating.

I like the hook just to explore bits of maps the designers never intended you to see.Like that one q2dm map that has the boxes on the conveyor belt that you ride to where the bfg is...you can hook up through the bay window in the ceiling to the conveyor above and run around in the UNspace.Then ride the conveyor back down to the bottom again.

Hmmm... but if ya just want to explore the map, spectator mode works great.

As for q2dm8 "bay window", you don't need the hook to get up there!!!!!
