Are we ready to switch all tourney servers to OpenTDM?

timers, and game wav's like the start and finish,  don't play on t2 and t4.
But still work on t1 etc...  (most importantly Vanilla and Mutant    )

I dunno if OTDM manages to stop non-r1q2 clients from playing them.

Hmm, maybe opentdm has sv_anticheat_disable_play enabled by default somehow.  (I don't have it turned on in the config file.)

My understanding is sv_anticheat_disable_play can only stop anticheat clients from playing sounds.

However, I don't know why this is apparently enabled on t2 and t4 at the moment.  (I thought I only had it enabled on the nadl server.)

I dunno about ALL tourney servers,

I Do kinda miss timers,  which I just started using since my return.
even more so I miss the match startup sound,   (Their absence related?)
I had a really nice one     (attached)


Anyhow,  if it's togglable then kewl.
if not and we go all OTDM,  I'll adapt

The mm2 only for spectators wasn't doing it's thing tonight.

Indeed, timers should work fine, neither of the OpenTDM servers at TS have disabled "play" through anticheat (EDIT: Or did they? They are allowed now, but maybe my config template had them disabled...). Remember that OpenTDM loads opentdm/autoexec.cfg so if your timers are in tourney/autoexec.cfg you may need to copy the config over. The 10_0 count down does play in OpenTDM on match start also, so maybe you have the .wav in the wrong place. The spectator chat mode is now votable, default is all-chat - vote chat players / vote chat all.

I said ALL because of the sounds issue,  all good now.

I dont use the autoexecs,  I have a separate cfg in baseq2 I run.
That was the first thing I tried to do to fix it.

Havn't moved anything,  so dunno why the start sound wasnt playing.
Even if I had,  I have the sound in my pak and in Quake II\baseq2\sound\world





at any rate,  I have now voted,   OTDM all the way

I had this great idea for a picture,   Like a kitchen timer with the big knob,
and markers for 20 and 30,  with the words 'Armor'  and  "weapon'

I don't have photoshop or anything right now,  and it's hardly worth 1,000 words

I do have this picture though,  spent the better part of an hour on it.
Had over 1,000 but came back down cause it loops back to 100.
