Every year, for most of the year, the area around my house is completely infested with thousands of red wasps and yellowjackets. They are evil and superintelligent, and do not die in the winter. They seem to particularly dislike me, and I get attacked all the time. I'm not good enough with my railgun to hit them. They nest in every crack and hole in the ground, house, trees, ornaments etc. One time there was a nest inside my house (in the stove hood), they were happy to invite themselves in! I would take a shot at Mike Tyson if I had to, but put a wasp near me and I will run away screaming.

They seem to have multiple entrances to the nest, so if I try to spray them, they come out somewhere else and get me from behind. I've tried spraying them, fogging them (they survived), trapping them (0 wasps in trap). mowing them (very unfortunate mistake) etc. etc. The only thing that has worked is gasoline, which I don't think would be a good idea to spray around the house.

The way I see it, I have 2 options:

1. Buy a bee keeper's suit and become invulnerable to them (although I'm sure they'd find a way in).
2. Buid a radio controlled robot wasp spraying machine (I may not be smart enough or rich enough, or both).

Anyone got any advice as to how to take care of these alien pain causing war machines?

if not you have to live with red wasps and yellowjackets.

that sucks. i have more than usual this year too.
are you using traps you bought? if so try just a jar of fresh liquid honey.
put some holes in the lid for them to fly in it, place next to the stove or where ever the nest is.
they fly in and get stuck in the honey. works ok i find.
and keep a can of hornet/wasp spray close by i guess lol

My city is in the middle of a labor strike from the outside workers union. That means no garbage pickup and a shitload of wasps. Not that bad since I live DT where everyone used private contractors for garbage removal but if you go to the burbs it's a whole other story.

Yeah, i've tried homemade and store bought traps, they caught a combined total of 0 wasps. They even built a nest in 1 trap I bought! The honey sounds like its worth a try though. I'll go back to the drawing board and see what I can come up with.

You gotta find their nests, and spray them in the winter to get rid of them. That way all the eggs dont hatch and new wasps come around. Theres always alot of wasps in my backyard shed.

I've found that RAID is unbeatable for visible nests, or nests of just a few wasps. The wasps around my house are in the hundreds, are not visible, deep inside the roof. I can't even go into my shed, even in the winter (which, lately is a winter of 75 degreee highs) because of them.

I'm going to to 1 of 2 things. I will either build a robot RAID spraying machine (I've got the plans), or I will buy a bee keeper's suit.

I have read that a bee keeper's suit is only "sting resistant", meaning I could still be swarmed. Any ideas?

Yup. Those things can sting right through those suits. Have you thought about having a pest control company giving you an estimate on how to remove all of them.

spraying those little fuckers at night has always worked for me. It guarantees that every wasp is on the nest and not foraging, so you know you've got them all. also, i know you wouldn't want to do this in your house, but GASOLINE will drop wasps faster than raid/hotshot. if you can see an outside nest, fill a solo cup with gas at night and just completely soak the thing. they don't even have a chance to fly (the oil-based gasoline is just too heavy i'm guessing), they all drop and maybe move they're legs for a few seconds then die. good luck with this, i can't stand wasps.

Man when I was a kid me and some friends had these rubber snakes that we would hide outside, and then one of us would try to find them. I put a rubber snake inside this green tree that was so thick you couldnt really see through it from the outside, and my hand went on a wasp nest. Those fuckers stung my left hand 4 times and it hurt like a bitch.

Gasoline kills them quicker than anything, for sure. Just gotta get a cup, make sure you hit most of the nest with it, then run away. I've seen wasps drop before even touching gas, even landing on the nest long afterwards will kill em.
