Odd Question...

I was in Vanilla server today messing around with my fov and handedness etc, I was playing in fov 90 and had the gun graphic which I thought was cool to play with, even somewhat aided my aiming...but anything over fov 90 takes the gun graphic away...am I missing an option? possibly a command to have the graphic in higher fov?

That's how it's always been, as far as I remember. fov > 90, no gun.
Don't know if there are any workarounds.

I like seeing the hand.
It doesn't help at all though. It's just a matter of preference.
I played multiplayer Quake, Doom, Duke3d, CS, and HL this way and I'm just comfortable with it.
Some people believe that it obscures their view...
I've never noticed this effect to be all that bad, although I admit that the gun animations can be distracting sometimes.

I can't stand not being able to see my gun, I actually play worse without it
