I just DLed some torrents of some popular PS games and I have the proper program to burn em, I was just wondering if the playstation can be modded like an xbox can.

yeah it can be, kinda..

it's more like "the xbox can be modded like the old playstation can" though...

Just pop her open and jam in the mod chip, and it'll play burnt ones.

there used to be squillions of them dancing around the net..
so you shouldn't have too hard of a time finding one.

It has been a long time though.. (yer referring to the original PS right?)

you'll want the 7-wire variety for a PSX..
the 6-wire for a ps-one...

Be prepared to do some soldering..

There seems to be a new way to get around this without a mod-chip too..
don't know if it works though.

They have this thing called a "breaker" cd that you put in first, and let the PSX boot..
then you open the door and stick in the CD you want to play after it's ready.

Never seen it in real life, so I'm kinda skeptical.

You could also take the easier route and use an emulator.

ePSXe hasn't been updated in awhile but works great with the proper plugins.

Wasn't aware they had a fully functional emualtor for the ps

sound is really laggy, so is alot of the gameplay, that and when I play ffix in fight mode, I cant see my attack options =/ any ideas? lol
