I remember some time ago when betty was ra2ing and he tried to prove his innocence by saying "well I use software mode, so how can I be walling" and the admins (i forget who) said that they could see he was using gl mode from a server log

I know of the existence of a software mode wallhack that was developed a loooooooooooooong time ago. Pretty much gimping yourself if you play in software mode so it wouldn't seem worth it to me anyhow.

and jager as for the software hack i wasnt saying there is or isnt one, ive never had to play q2 in software mode since like 1998 and back then there werent any wallhacks to even try, so i dunno shit about that, i was just saying that betty said he wasnt cheating because he was in software mode, really at the time it just sounded like grannys "I have the cheat but I wasn't using it at the time" excuse which is blah, both of them should be forced to use the AC lol

what I think is funny is that everyone else that uses wallhacks to view demos uses an outdated one like the q2ace one or the frk that produces the 232 nocheat simulation, if you were only using it to view demos why would you use a new one that could be used to cheat with?

seems like you would get caught with it and be in this situation right here

Right.  It won't be in the logs unless we did it manually.  (Note, that if a client is hacked, it could lie about its vid_ref to the server anyway.)

Tranny was using default open gl (with his wallhack), he admitted it.  The thing is, he claims it is an old ass wallhack used for watching demos.  Well

#1 why would he have it loaded when he played q2 on tastyspleen, if its only used for demo purposes
and
#2 his wallhack wasnt some old ass wallhack.  Its the same one ditzu used (the gl_modlate 1 wh) and it completely fakes nocheat 2.40.  This tard was cheating the whole time when he was talking all that mad shit

his wallhack wouldn't of worked the vast majority of the time, because of that server visibility check (which is on the majority of the time)
since it wouldn't work if he connected and tried it (most of the time), i think this is  why he is still trying to deny he ever cheated.  maybe he wasn't cheating in game.  there really is no proof he was actually cheating in the game, and there is some evidence he didn't.  i think this is important, because other players have wallhacks on there pc, and they don't get banned.  yeah he connected with it,  but it wouldn't work with the new anticheat, and it would rarley work before!@  that said i don't care if he is banned, because he's obviously being a dick, when he should be apologizing
