hardware opinions

heyas
i need some expert opinions on some hardware
first, a water cooling kit
im looking for something cheap and that does the job, i dont care how quiet it is, just as long as its not loud
my computer is over heating by about 25c, this is the third time this year. and iv just about had enough of it
so im willing to invest in something that will hopfully put an end to it once and for all
keep in mind thought that i know nothing about installing these, and kinda paranoid about it destroying my computer
so needs to be easy to install
second, im looking for a decent mid tower case, something light and with good ventilation/cooling
hopfully something that works with a water cooling system
so i dont have to mod it
www.tigerdirect.ca
is where ill be ordering from, its the only place that ships to canada
so try and see if these parts are here first

What is your current computer specs? Can't see how you're over heating that badly? Get some canned air and dust that puppy out!

i swear, the first time it was at 90c, than 70c, and now 70c again
the fan is a piece of shit, stock one from when i got the cpu almost 3 years ago
i cleaned it out tones of times, did it last night and still nothing
had a talk with deathstalker, who runs his own computer type shop
he says to go with a better fan and some paste so thats will think ill do instead
would certinly help the price
also found a case thanks to him

Cheap
and
safe watercooling? Most kits are quite expensive and homemade stuff is pretty risky business. Before spending money on such kits I would look into the airflow of the case to see what can be done to optimize it. There are some cool tips on
overclockers.com
, even about 'airducting' your vidcard. Of course that would require some serious modding:/
I had heat problems last summer and within minutes the cpu (amd) temperature would jump to ~70c even in bios, even when I had opened the case and had an external ventilator. After reading lots of reviews and user opinions on coolers I'd suggest a
ThermalTake
fan (with copper core) + artic silver paste. Since I installed this fan and paste the cpu hardly ever exceeds 50c. (Of course it will take a few days for the paste to 'settle' and make optimal contact). I got one of the ThermaleTake
SilentBoost fans
myself.
A simple PSU-"chimney"
PSU-"chimney"
can also do wonders. It prevents the warm exhaust air from being sucked straight back into the case.

some good ideas pan
i think my case is also to blame TBA, it just so happends i was gunna get one anyway
iv upgraded my computer so much, that iv replaced everything except the case, HDDs and floppy drive
im gunna transfer all my old parts into this old case, and my new parts + old hard drive in the new
so needed a new hard drive and floopy as well. will use this as a server of some sort i suppose, just aslong as they dont go to waste sitting collecting dust

Maybe the thermal tape, or thermal grease, isn't making good contact between your CPU and its heatsink?

xtife your never going to get help if you keep acting like a jerk, if your OS supported water cooling maybe you could have it but no, you decide to use a popular OS.
