I think it was well worth getting up so early in the morning, before college, tired as hell, to play in this, it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it !

i thought it was well organized, but i didn't really like the map. not that i voted or anything...i forgot about this tournament after elysium told me about it a few weeks ago. i wish it was played on sat night, then i don't have any pl. i had fun though. thank you to those who organized it.

i think it would be cool to have a q2dm tournament. like a 1-8 cycle with a 50 or 100 fraglimit for each level. i know that a lot of the maps wouldn't be able to have many people, but i think a good 16-20 could play on all maps.

also, how many people total were playing in this ts500 3? and does anyone have a demo?

There has been talk about a q2dm* tourney.. I had posted an idea to the admins and another player improved on the idea. We decided to wait until after this to make that one happen. I'll let him make the announcement.

I warmed up on fusion and then camped out infornt of the tv watching football.
I guess I fell asleep around 8 and slept until 1.

Looks like everyone had alot of fun. Great to hear. I missed it too.

Had to work all day Sunday, then was too tired by the time the tourney rolled around. Maybe next time.

Thanks all who participated, and all who set it up. FFA Tourneys are SO rare these days.

My experince was wasn't too because everytime I attacked or engaged in an attack my Q2 would lag, it would seem normal when I was walking around there was no lag. Anyways I think its because I'm using anticheat r1q2. Next time I'm going to use the regular Q2.exe because alot of times I was attacking and the next thing I know I'm lagged and dead.

Interesting. I had a ton of fun, but definitely experienced the same kind of lag you described. I was also using r1q2 anticheat. I just assumed it was lagging for everyone because there were, like, 40 people on the server. Maybe we can find out if it was an anticheat-only kind of thing.... Did anyone playing who was NOT using anticheat experience this same kind of lag?

I wanted to play just to add frag fodder for the pros but was too tired from drywalling all day Sunday. When I checked Gameholic server status just after 10:00 pm (EST) there were 40 people connected, with scores no higher than 7 at that point. I gotta say that after playing Fusion a few times prior to the tournament, its not a very good map. Not much flow and the cave area seems awkward to move through. And I voted for it! Oh well....
