human's aren't going to destroy the earth, the earth is going to be destroyed by something else out of our power and im not talking about aliens... someday but most likely not for a LONG time.

The Discovery channel seems hell bent that an asteroid will be what destroys the earth. So I say that since I am such a pushover that I will believe anything that I see on TV.

I've been scared to death for some time now. I don't believe we will destroy the Earth, but we will destroy ourselves. It's a natural process of evolution, many scientists predict an "intelligent" life form can only live until it has the ability to destroy itself. I hate to talk this way, but I believe the end is at hand, and I believe it will be in my lifetime. Look how the human race has declined since we entered the information age.

Uh I dont think the human race has declined since the information age. Humans are living longer then ever, there is less deaths. I mean you think it is bad now look at how it used to be. Women would be labeled witches and burned or stoned to death. Remember the black plague, swept through and killed millions. Criminals would get away with crimes routinely. I think the information age has improved society not caused it to decline.

even if theres a chance, regardless of how small it might be, i would think these people would be smart enough not to take such a risk
