Hmm, i really think that cause its popular, and its the #1 q2dm map, and the map is pretty simple. its a good place to learn how to do jumps, and its a good map for any beginning newb (not to offend).

q2dm1 is the BEST map for q2 dm 1v1, that is why people play it so much

its item placement, the amount of trick jumps available, the lack of muffled sounds, this is a pros map, hence why newbs get destroyed on it as they have no conception as to how to maximize performance on a map

with that being said, there are some tsers who know what secrets dm1 holds, so i guess sure, for the sport skill bracket remove dm1, and for the pros obviously retain that and get rid of all the bull shit custom maps that only belong on mutant, or best yet fit those onto the sport bracket

and it also happens to be my favorite map to rail on. I do get tired of railz sometimes, so i play dm ffa. Im trying to get interested in tdm and 1vs1, cause not every fps game has a railgun.
