Color Pallete for Q2 ????

Does anyone know where I might download a CP for Photoshop? I used to have one when I made skins years ago but seem to have lost it. Thanks in advance.

I have ".pal" files for Q2 that came with the Wally texture editor - does this help? I guess you could take a screenshot of them and make bitmap files and sample the colors.

Hey Dukie Wat does that pallete do i would like to no before i dl it lol its been a while since ive played and quakes updated i was just wondering????

Its just the 256 color pallete that is used for q2 skins.
When you get ready to make a skin from scratch you would
need it.
If you are only modifying an existing skin you would not need it.

this is not totaly true pcx skins will somehow "loose" the pallete info and will convert themselfs to grayscale
and they will need it again to edited

Yeah I have noticed that on older skins made in older versions of Photoshop.
None of the skins I have made in the last 7 years or so have ever done that though, but I made all mine using the original pallete in PSP.

Anyway, if you have one of those gray scale skins you want to see and you have the q2 pallete, plus a copy of photoshop:

[1]convert the image to "indexed colour" from the Image -> Mode menu

[2]then from the same menu I think near the bottom there is an option to "Load Colour Table"

[3]click that and then load the q2.pal palette file.
