The study concludes that the odds are at least 600 to 1 in favor of the Talpiot Tomb being the Jesus Family Tomb. In other words, the conclusion works 599 times out of 600.

Jesus's resurrection was bodily according to the teaching.

"If Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain" (1 Corinthians 15:14).

Maybe this approach will emerge: "OK so the resurrection probably didn't happen, but how do you explain the miracles and the virgin birth!?"

I wonder if this proves Islam is the one true religion. They claim Jesus was not God, but just a prophet. The virgin birth, resurrection, ascention, etc. are false. Allahu Akbar!

But perhaps this is just another "test" of God to see how strong Christian faith is. First the dinosaurs, then evolution, then the big bang, now this! I think it's safe to say God is actively involved in making us question our faith.

You could pose multiple questions when it comes to the topic of God.

1. Who created god
2. What makes you think 1 religion holds more truth than the other
3. Have you ever had a "Prayer" answered

etc etc etc.

In my opinion, and it is just that, an opinion--Religion in itself is used by different cultures as a tool of control; you would be supprised to see what people will do when you can get them to question their own mortality and what lies at the end?

Agreed. I believe most would agree that religion is indeed often used as a tool for power. As far as death goes, i really do not have an opinion on the matter. Its impossible to say what happens to your "soul" (if there is such an entity or something similar) or conscious thoughts when your body gives out. It sure seems difficult to ponder what it would be like without your own existence... for me anyway

On a side note, i have usually thought of God, if he exists as "the creator", i have never thought of God actually being created by an outside entity.

exactly, it's kind of like being totally brain dead. You don't have to be scared of death, because after your dead thats it...you won't know your dead, won't be aware of anything. perm coma

quadz, i do not believe anything has had an infinite existence, as i feel history cannot reach infinity. The passage you posted is interesting, i wish i could get famous for publishing what hopefully most people would call common sense
