I don't understand your definition of "perfect". It doesn't seem to match the dictionary definition, which includes phrases like, "excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement," and, "entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings."

Previously, you've indicated your idea of perfection was somehow tied to balance. Does that mean those 283,000 people had to die in a tsunami in order for you to appreciate NOT dying in a tsunami? What about all the dead people, though? How was the world perfect for them, that day?

I would call reaper's stubborn phenomenon as being "blind".

I don't see how just because the world isn't perfect he has to pretend it is to somehow justify his beliefs.

How does belief in god necessitate a "perfect" world? Even if you think it should, this world is clearly not perfect, the same way America is not perfect.

There are about 10 trillion planets, what if the so-called "perfect" world simply isn't ours? Do all 10 trillion have to be "perfect"? (And I have no idea how one could separate perfect ones from imperfecct ones, but perhaps there is an earth-like planet god made immune from natural disasters?) Or all 10 trillion planets perfect?

i don't know if belief in god necessitates a perfect world, i just feel that this world is the perfect creation of a god. so i disagree that this world is cleary not perfect. i'm not sure what life is like on other planets, but my imagination leads me to believe we are experiencing the best possible existance of life.

i did say it was shortsighted to discount god because we have a natural explanation for many things (which i also think is incomplete until we know more). however i just mean this type of belief isn't much different then someone believing in god. the type of evidence is somewhat similiar. for instance, i don't believe in chance, so i think there is an explanation so chance is in favor. so say we do uncover more about how matter/energy works on the quantom level, this should shed a lot more insight for people. i believe a deeper understanding will show it is chance matter/energy formed this way. and since i don't believe in accidents, and i believe in god, this would harden my belief in god.

It seems your belief in god necessitates a perfect world. You see an image of the tsunami victims and just turn the other cheek. It seems nothing can change your mind no matter how much evidence is thrown at you because you have formed your own personal definition of perfect which is independent of everyone elses.

Would say that you are a person who can feel empathy for the millions and millions of people on Earth right now, who are by any standard leading a really horrifyingly abysmally wretched starving, painful, disease-ridden existence?

Do you think that if you traded places with some of these people for a week, your imagination would still lead you to believe you were experiencing the best possible existence of life?
