What I have trouble understanding is why someone's behavior has to start getting shitty just because they're "leaving q2".

Not that I think this was a particularly heinous example of abuse, since Homeslice asked for it with "yes bitch".

But factoring in the "i don't care anymore / I'm quitting q2" part, I don't like it.

AW_CR1TT3R's jumpmod admin is removed until further notice....

I agree, behavior such as this is hard to understand. I see it two ways.

(1) A person changes their outward behavior in order to secure a position of authority and stays inside the guidelines to keep the position. Either their true nature gets the best of them and the abuse starts, or they consciousely decide to leave the position and with nothing to lose, go out with a bang.

(2) A person with authority does good up to the point that they get disenchanted/disheartened/frustrated with the position or something associated with it, and a temporary "fuck it" attitude gets the best of them. Kinda like "temporary insanity". Something they wouldn't normaly do, but in the heat of the moment .....

(3) ... then you have BadBrent ... which is probably a combination of both (1) & (2)

We've witnessed similarities in the cases of Kobra(1) and Paradiselost(1) after deciding, for whatever reasons, to quit their contributions. I'm sure the medical geeks have a name for it(like everything else), something syndrome/illness/disease bullshit, but I just call it "less than honorable". (2) seems to apply more closely to Basic.
