i recently got a logitech mx1000. i had a logitech G5 before and had none of these problems.
But basically, at a consistent interval, the mouse will "jump". It doesnt even seem to be a twitch. Many times in game i am stuck facing the floor or sky, but even when on my desktop, it will jump on its own from the middle of the screen off to one of the corners/top.
i installed the cd software, and it said the software i had from the G5 was newer and suggested using it.
Any ideas? Anyone have these problems?
What is the r1q2/aprq2 command to smooth mouse inputs? i have the xp_mousefix thing on, but dont have the smooth mouse thingy on.
Anybody? Bueller??

i used to get twitching too like this from my mx518
but it doesnt seem to do it much anymore
i dont use the software though either, but im pretty sure it hasent made a diff
bottom line, wireless sucks
though thats probably not the issue, may want to try a diff mouse pad, or none at all? (which might be bad for your desk actually lol, i ruined mine without a pad)

m_filter "1" for smooth filtering stuff like you said, but I turned it off, everything felt smoother, but less responsive. (to me)

Now you know why CORDLESS MICE SUCK. Specially for gaming, do yourself a favour and go buy a Mx-510 or MX-518, you will be happy.

I use a cordless and it works for me.....I am tempted to see how I'd play with the wired equivalent though.

for now, i have quit using it.
i have gone back to my complete crap Kensington wired optical.
i think what i am dealing with is the mouse suffering from interference. Unfortunately, right now the only place to put it is withing five inches of two monitors, one computer, a printer, and a router. And it is DEAD in the center of all that with no other place to put it.
i was always happy with my dads mx510 or mx518 whichever it is. But i have had big trouble with TWO logitech's now, and i am starting to feel burned.

I use a Razor and its pretty smooth aim-wise. I have noticed different oddities occuring with all these mice using higher polling rates:
1) berserk sensitivity so you have to re-do all your settings.
2) a tendency for the player to "stick" to objects (floor, walls etc).
3) for me, my jump is a bit worse - it seems to delay the initial part of the jump a tiny bit and throws me off.
Here's something new - adding foot controls to your game so you can so you don't put so many game functions on just 2 hands.
