detect0r asked me for a 1v1 and he's obviously hacking.. I still owned him though gg.

It's funny how he gets pissed because his walling still doesn't get him kills, and then in turn accuses me of walling in the most ridiculous situations.

ps. It's VERY obvious from my pov, but hopefully occ_nick can post a demo he took of boat's pov, along with a portion that adam recorded.

I dunno how useful or even if any useful this is, I only realised watching haunts demo that he pm'd me to actually record it. sorry.

I asked nick, he liked about demo'ing it.. :/ doesent eeven know how to demo.

Yeah, that seemed pretty obvious on his part. Your rail shot on him coming up the elevator could come across as suspicious too, how you predicted? he was on the right side of the elevator shaft coming up. But he repeatedly showed signs of walling. I like how near the end he's down by lower RL, which I'm even able to recognize those sounds now, and he won't even come around the corner because I'm sure he saw you through the wall up there on the ledge. Then to try to cover up his apparent wall he says "I bet he's up there waiting for me" LOL =)

It was tourney1. And, strangely, tourney1 had wallhack protection turned off. I'm still not sure how that happened--the protection was turned on on the rest of the servers.

Well I turned it off a couple Sundays ago on all the servers, for a few hours, to save CPU cycles. The server was overloaded, and the wallhack protection uses CPU. But I'm pretty sure I turned it back on on all the servers later that night. I guess I could have missed tourney1 somehow... Not sure.

.... Hmm. From the log file, it looks like that's what happened. Back on Sunday, June 25th I turned the protection off for a few hours to save CPU... And on tourney1, it never got turned back on. The thing is, I use a script to broadcast commands to all the servers... so it's not like I "forgot" tourney1. It seems the packet must have gotten lost in transit.

Is there any way short of getting kicked for using your aimbot, to
know if the cheat-protect was on/off?

Well I dunno about the timing... like I said, it was turned off on tourney1 since June 25th.

I'm not sure I understand the question. But if you watch haunted's demo with a wallhack, you can see that the opponent is visible behind walls, where he would be invisible if the wallhack protection was turned on.

Maybe a line of text in the console or a check that doesn't get performed?

If he went on the server and realized that the walling-protection was off,
he could talk all sorts of shit and call haunted out in IRC and then attempt to crap on him
with hacks and then talk more shit. (like the tdm/1v1 players love to do)

It seems kinda nefarious, but it's possible...
(only if there's a way to tell that the protection is off.)

Oh. Yes. Someone trying to tell whether the anti-wallhack code was enabled would merely need to turn on their wallhack. If the wallhack works, or doesn't work, they would have their answer.

console, can you please unpload a working wallhack so that everyone can use it? i think this would solve most of the problems....as it gives everyone equal footing. thanks.
