What Happend to the Rail Server

Ever sence the new maps , no one has been on that server.., Maybe need to make changes?
miss that server having alot of peeps on there so i can  em

What do you want me to do?  Just go back to the old rotation?  Does anyone want to suggest a new rotation based on the "best of" all of these maps?  I would do it, if I had time.... but I don't.

i think its more because people dont want to download new maps

if console updated the map packs withthe new maps or atleast added one with allt hese new maps
we wouldnt have a problem

i think we should atleast try that before changing the maps all over again

That used to be the first place I'd go when I had time to play....but the damn thing would crash after about five maps...everytime.        I thought it was my bad karma or something     I'm all for new maps and I appreciate the effort to maintain and update the server.

or did it just throw an exception/error message box and crash?

this could be happening to all kinds of people if a particuler map isnt working

rails just crashes..  no error,  nothin...   

i used to like it when it crashed..  would always start back on edge
every time it crashed after something specific,  i got happy thinking i figured it out.
but could never duplicate it...

example..  it crashed one time i hit a teleporter as a spectator

seriously tho have the map packs been updated? sorry i havent checked...but the last couple of times i went on, i had to dload each and every map... really frustrating

and regarding the map rotations, the old one had a lot of good maps mixed in with a lot of bad ones. the new one is the same. i guess you cant really satisfy everyone

why dont we just do a full 1000 map rotation of q1dm1,aerowalk,tltf, and grom_dm3

True, the map paks should be updated.  But from experience, I can tell you this usually doesn't matter much, becase a whole ton of players won't download the map packs.  Even if you spam them in game,

It doesn't matter.  It seems only a small percentage of players usually bother.  So I'm really not sure the lack of map paks is the "problem".  (But yes, they need to be updated.)

Haha, give me a break, dude. 

You've got to expect people to have completely incompatible taste in every possible server configuration.  (Check out the ongoing DM server quad vs. no-quad thread. )

I think it's great when people offer concrete feedback about maps, such as their own favorites from a big list.

YOUR contributions were definitely appreciated.  But I'm not going to turn away anybody else's feedback either...
