Yup, I maid it to and only live 1.5 hours away.
Now if I can just keep it. They said they had tch difficulties and would be e-mailing finall confermation, which really worries me considering they said im number 3194

I signed up for the BYOC , the site got hammered in the first 10 seconds. I was there and refreshed at 7:59 and 8 and clicked on the registration button and that was it the site stoped responding and blamo.. lol wasnt till i had quadz log in (another state) and check for me and sure enough i was able to register. My route to www.quakecon.org went belly up

I think there are only 1800 BYOC slots since its in the anatole. Parking isnt that great there ..not much of it.. If your looking for hotel or something. lets all stay with dukie

haha nah but there are alot of little hotels along the same road right across the street if the hotel fills up
its not as nice as the gaylord

I moved up from 330 in the waiting list to having a reserved spot in the first hour... apparently a lot of people fell through. I got lucky I guess.

Long story short... I'M GOING TO DALLAS!

Heh I had a fun time getting registered. I did liek you guys all did and refreshed the site from 7:58-8:00 adn as soon as the clock struck 8:00 BOOM!!....major lag

In the first 5 mins i finally got to the registration page but after filling out the first line the page suddenly crashed...i was ticked! I loaded up Firefox and had liek 30 windows tabbed trying to get thru lol. Finally i got back to the registration page and made the BYOC at about 8:20pm CST

Anyways im like number 2k and i did get into the BYOC.. liek the quote goes in Field of Dreams "If you run the server.. Others will join" =P

Good Luck to thoes of u trying to get in and hope to see many of u there!
