this happened last night, and earlier, crazy! maybe q2dm1 is so bored of being the only map played, it decided to add itself a quad? ;]

Actually, I think the quad is there as a honeypot to lure quad-users like myself to spend the whole game trying to have enogh h/a to grenade rocket jump up there to get it.

I'm sure people were surprised to see a blue guy fall from the sky and BFG them three at a time. Of course, I did have an unnerving feeling that I was all dirty after doing that!

I did it twice in the DM server today.. there's a BFG up there too.

Quad/BFG kills in mega = A lot of WTF??'s

Yep, just done it, got quad but ended when i was getting bfg, damn thats' weird, anyone shed some light on it? but why did it happen in tourney server?

Haha, oops. I didn't mean for it to modify q2dm1 on the tourney servers.

But yeah, tourney and tourney2 share the same baseq2 with the other tastyspleen.net servers.

I'll fix it so the tourney servers get the standard q2dm1. (I hope I don't have to duplicate the whole maps directory, we'll see.)

Anyway...

I've been wanting to try out those powerups up there on dm1 for years actually. I just thought it would be fun because they're hard enough to get, especially on a crowded server. I meant them as kind of a fun "bonus" feature, rather than something that would change the map strategy for serious fraggers....

Heh, I was just on on the dm server and all Element was doing was just going for quadz and bfg the whole game xD

Me, being a WOD and a LOX player, you just ratchet yourself up in that lil area with the Hook, its a favorite camping spot for players, and the most hated place too. PLayers go forthe GL and end up getting fragged no end, lol.

(good thing we have guided rockets in lox, so you can frag pesky campers in "unreachable" places. )
