After playing for a long time like on Tastyspleen 500, the only thing that changes on my body is the urge to have a smoke. I dont sweat like you people, so I consider myself lucky.

Yea, when I'm really into it I sweat alot under the arms, but I don't Dream about it.

What happenes to me is when I go to bed i'm replaying Quake all over again in my mind, and takes me a couple of hours to finally get to sleep.

Also my wife always asks me if moving WAY left and WAY right in my chair helps me avoid the rockets better. LOL

I play the best when I'm relaxed and not even looking at my score. When I start to worry about beating someone I start sucking.

I have the same reactions and symptoms as PUNK when I play at all seriously. I find I play better when I don't stress the outcome at all, or after a shot or two of whiskey. It takes the edge off.

Btw, the sweaty underarms are called Quake-pit. I coined the term in college playing QW and Q2 for 11 hours a day.

I use a fan keeping me cool,plus i don't move around alot in my chair because it don't help me avoid any incoming ammo.

Q1 - leaning forward in your chair didnt get you on that ledge you missed

Q2 - dont really notice body movement or sweating.

not always, but some games where things click really well my heart starts racing
and I can feel some extra adrenaline, and almost a high after a good 2-3 kill run that way.

Had more of these since I ditched dialup

Well back in the day... when Q2 was semi orginal, playing on AOL sucked ass. Been there.
