it's pretty far.. I'm East Coast, you're West coast.. lol

Rent can be expensive.. my current place (2 bedroom) goes for $979/month not inculding hydro.  But then again, I don't live in the ghetto.

Ottawa is pretty expensive. I think it's close to Vancouver for prices but a little higher for Vancouver. My rent is 865$ for 1 bedroom appartment. But it's kinda nice and almost 800 square feet.

You guys should move in together.

Right now I'm paying $995 for a 1 bedroom in Shaughnessy Heights, about 1000sf. It's higher than it should be but a great location, grocery shopping within 3 minute walk and I'm totally situated in a residential area.

That's not bad at all, especially for a 2bdrm. Last 2bdrm I was in was $1200m hydro/hw/heat included.

I think Vancouver is one of the more expensive places to live. It is so only because of the trendy, westcoast metro-wannabes driving prices up just for their condo with a starbucks built into it. For frag's sake, they have one that the lobby of the building has direct access to the SBucks downstairs.


Anywho...gonna go back to cruising craigslist.

I am going to need a place to stay in the coming year, but vancouver is a helluva long way away. I'd also have to find a job. I'd also have to get a green card....

I'll check out what the local stagehands' union has got going up there and see if i can work something out, cuz i'd really like to live in vancouver.

Weather is decent, akin to Seattle(only 2hrs away).

Summer is great: Constant breeze and averages to about 28

there is so much to do.
like sigma said, there is Whistler blackcomb, which is the site of the 2010 olympics. Very excellant skiing.
There is kiaking off the coastal shores ( done it, SO MUCH FUN )
