hehe! the old controversial argument

anyways, fanny has setup a quake3 ffa server, prolly for testing. anyone with quake 3 on their computer might wanna try it out.

you'll need the latest update, and the latest punkbuster.

hopefully, ill see some of you peeps on it when i wake up, so i can school you guys right and left.

I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.
As far as I know I have the latest and greatest version of Q3 updated.
In fact when I updated Q3 it spelled the death knell for me playing it.
Server Uses Protocol 34
Server Uses Protocol 45
Server Uses Protocol 48
Everytime I try and get on a server with actual people on it I am turned away.

That is the reason I came back to Q2.

That's so true. I tried lpaying q3 on several occasions but I couldn't connect anywhere most of the time. So I got bored to try to figure out why and switched back to q2.

I put it up as test bed for some things, it may be up for a bit but if it affects the q2 servers in any way before the testing is done then it will come down.

But figured while it is up, it might as well get used if there are any Q3'rs out there.....

alot of servers are to god damn lazy to update to the latest version which is why you got those errors

Ok, I bailed out of gamespy and tried to join through Q3 and that worked

After an interminable amount of time and 999 phone jack pings, PB finally finished updating.

If you look at the pic below you can see the pings I was used to playing with.
I guess you can get used to anything.
I pinged 152 there! I have never pinged Q3 below 200 (usually never below 300)

Come on you goobers! Lets play!

Here is the homepage of the q3 servers I play on the rare times I go near my q3 shortcut.They have a happy community there,like we do here.With a lot less assholes,UNlike here.Go play and don't pee in their pool,or I will personally hunt you down.
