FIX THE FUCKING JUMP SERVER

Certain maps just won't download.  0wnt.bsp is an example. Gives an error gl8_download too large or something.  Then there's the maps with no gun...lots of those.

0wnt.bsp should have been removed from the map list a few days ago.  It shouldn't still be there.

As far as maps with no gun, the only way I know of to address that is to appoint more jump server admins who know how to fix maps.  I don't have time, myself, to go through hundreds of maps...

I get it, but I dont get the scrolly messages at top.

In order to get the message you must choose vid_ref soft , or go into software mode.

I second that notion. I keep on getting missing small player model that comes up on the screen consistantly.

Actually having this file on the server to download, would FIX this problem!

That file is on the server.  I don't think "NULL skin found" is the same as "file not found". 

I'm not sure why your client would be printing that message.  I don't see it here.  Anyone else getting this error?

I have that file myself,  and still see some places I go that want to dl it.
I always assumed it was something to do with q2admin or something.

only did it when connecting,  and didnt bother me the rest of the game.

There are reasons for these issues..Firstly,Not being able to vote is basically because maybe people want to get a chance at having a go at the map,So that is why voting is disabled for the first whatever seconds.Secondly,You do not need the skins,as they are just ctf skins,which is (I think) red skin for hard team,blue for easy team.And for guns not being in a map or quad so on being placed so you can time at the start of the map is because these maps were maybe made before jumpmod was created,or the map makers just fancied adding them and having no clue that the objects would allow you to time.Hope that made sense.I can put up direct links to download the skins and all that if you whine a bit more.Plus I was going to ask If I could be made an admin so I could fix the maps as I know how

Everytime I'm connected I atleast fix 2 maps, and I connect every 1-2 days (now).. I'm sorry if that is too slow for you guys, but I like to have fun on the server too.

Why wouldn't it happen?  I'm happy to give map-fixing admin status to anyone who knows what they're doing.

Hey Ax2Grind, if I were you, I would just demand a refund. I mean, for fuck's sake, you pay good money to pay here, console is making money hand over fist, and the lazy bastard can't even keep every one of the many server options running smoothly. What an OUTRAGE!

Good thing I'm not running those servers; if I were, the first fix I would do would be to temp ban demanding, ungrateful children until they acquired some manners.
