anyone know why escape won't pull up the gui options menu sometimes in q2 (at least for me..)
everything else works fine when this is not working
kind of a pain sometimes : )

buy a new keyboard.

escape works for everything else, why do you think replacing the keyboard would fix it ?

try bind ESCAPE "togglemenu"

One quake 2 client has a problem with bringing up the menu with escape key...can't remember if it's R1Q2 or EGL.

Open the console first, then press escape...it's the only fix I know of

i have even noticed this with vanilla q2, some mods prevent just the use of esc to bring up the menu so you need to pull the console then hit esc and then exit/what ever.
