haha i guess i built my "super computer" at the right time ;p. With a video card that costs around 400 bucks i think ill be able to run it. No more software mode for me.

Its gonna have to be pretty good to beat the classic series. (yes i still play it ... online even). Look for me in there ill probibly be one of the first in.

i dunno! my gs machine/my fileserver p3 850 @900mhz 640mb ram gf2mx video card cannot even play Farcry, Prince of Persia!!
hehe the games just do not support that low of a video card

oh well. I just put my system together not too long ago but im about to upgrade soon. i have a 2.4ghz p4 @ 3.3X Ghz gf4 ti4600.
i was prob gonna get a 9800xt video card since they now will be basically half price since the new x800 series and new nvidia chips are out. but after seeing the benchmarks on the new video cards damn they just blow the sheet out of the 9800xt and the previous nvidia card.. some games were double the frame rates.!! basially double the power of the card.
also the new FSB speeds are going up from 800 to 1066

So i might just wait off on the upgrade for a few months. But i usually buy new stuff every 5-7 months and just resell it and get new stuff. its a cheap way to always upgrade. cheap as in i hardly even have to spend anymoney out of pocket to get the newest stuff. Just throw it on ebay and everyone bids crazy on it outbidding eachother

i played some of the halflife 2 beta it ran somewhat okay on a gf4ti4600
but since its beta alot...of the textures/graphics arent there.
