honestly? ..nothing, all I have done are the pdl and flowchart, I have no idea where to start.. I'm referencing http://www.xs4all.nl/~smit/asm01001.htm and it's not really helping.

Hmm, well that link is for intel x86 assembler, so... completely different instruction set.

I'd recommend Appendix A from:
http://www.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/ref_manual/M68HC11RM.pdf

Well at the very least, you can start by defining your data set of roughly 20 to 25 numbers, containing at least one $00 and one $FE and ending in $FF.

Basically, you're going to need to get the two current adjcent data values to compare:

LOOP LDAA 0,X
LDBB 1,X

Then you need to check for the end of the list

CMPB #$ff
BEQ ENDOFLIST

Then you need to see if the data values need to be swapped

CBA
BLT NEEDSWAP
INX
BRA LOOP

To swap, he requires you to push values on the stack and call a subroutine

NEEDSWAP PSHA
PSHB
BSR DOSWAP
BRA LOOP

The swap subroutine has to pop values back off the stack
It also needs to set a flag indicating it did work, so you know you'll need at least one more pass on the sort

DOSWAP PULB
PULA
STAA 1,X
STAB 0,X
LDAA #1
STAA SWAPFLAG

You need to clear SWAPFLAG before each pass through the data, then check swapflag at ENDOFLIST, to see whether you need to make another pass...

I honestly don't know how to thank you enough, I've been at this all last night 'til 5am, and this morning 'til now and it probably took you a few mins to do. If my instructor knew how to actually explain anything I wouldn't have had so much trouble, I've been through Unix, C, C++, VB.. and others without a problem.

Yes, Quadz is extraordinary as you mention. Perhaps sometime there will be an opportunity to repay his favors - and all the admins.

Ramblings..

On the surface, the relative anonymity of the net wipes away the boundaries of age, gender, race, income, etc.. this can lead people to act like roving jerks (who would know?). But, it also highlights people who build a positive reputation and trust.

Years ago people would have thought it silly to think that anyone would be able to track some offhand comment mentioned in a quake server. Now games are routinely logged on IRC and multi-modal searches can relate people to aliases. I think this implies that reputation will continue to become MORE important on the net. There will, hopefully, always be anonymity; but, people's desire for a richer, personal presence will make reputation more important. These social networks of "I trust him because he does YYZ online", I think will become more and more real.
