OK, good... firewalls will only add complexity to this particular problem.

Have you located the admin web pages for your router? There should be a page there called "port mapping" or something to do with ports.

You'll need to know the IP address for your router on your local network, to get to its admin pages.

i tryed several ips to connect to my server and the only one that worked was 192.168.1.143:27910 and someone said ya thats ur router or w/e and thats why it connects. Does that help?

Hey bomber, I think I got it figured out...you need to upgrade your routers software/firmware.
First go to your router manufacturers website and download the newest drivers, it should be a .bin file, put it on your desktop.

Then log into your router and find the update firmware/software button and direct it to the .bin file that you put on your desktop.

When about 50% of the install is complete click on the cancel button, now you should be all set!

192.168.1.143 is likely the IP your router has given your PC on your local network. (Different from your external IP.)

Given that IP, I would guess your router is (probably) at 192.168.1.1.

Try connecting with your web browser to: http://192.168.1.1
and see if you get any admin pages for your router.
